Lynne Martin, V.P. of Operations/Office Manager


Lynne is originally from New Jersey relocating to the Cocoa Beach area as a teenager.  She attended Cocoa Beach High School and Brevard Community College in the Respiratory Therapy Program.   Lynne joined Aquatic Health and Rehab in 2003 as the Office Manager, and was promoted to Vice President of Operations in 2010.  She is certified in Advanced CPR and Water Safety, as well as office management, collections, medical billing and various areas of medical office administration, and has been a state certified Notary since 1999.  In her sparing time she enjoys traveling, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Terry Shepherd, DPT, DHSc, Founder, CEO

Terry Shepherd holds graduate from University of Central Florida and from the University of St. Augustine.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Microbiology with a minor in Chemistry, a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, a Master of Science in Health Administration, Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Doctor of Science in Health Sciences.  Dr. Shepherd is the owner and practicing therapist of Aquatic Health and Rehabilitation Services, Inc.  She opened her practice to offer alternative physical therapy as well as traditional physical therapy in a loving family atmosphere.  The practice now offers all disciplines to include Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Massage Therapy, Women’s Health, Lymphedema Therapy, Pilates with certified instructors/therapists, Aquatic therapy, Aquatic classes, Fitness programs, Nutrition Counseling, and Personal Training.  She has recently attended classes at the University of Tennessee and is working towards Certification in Canine Rehabilitation.  She is highly trained in all areas through continuing education as well.  She holds multiple certifications which include:  Lymphedema, WATSU, Ergonomics, Strain/Counter-strain, Manual Therapy, Spine Therapy, Aquatic Therapy, Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist, Certified Pool Operator, Arthritis Foundation YMCA Aquatic Program (AFYAP) Instructor, Certified Functional Capacity Evaluator, Certified Pilates Reformer Instructor Certified Pilates Mat Instructor and Certified in McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis Therapy for Spine and Extremities.  She has trademarked her Aquatic Program, AquaMoves™, and is teaching this program to other Physical Therapists.  Her specialties include aquatic therapy, program development, manual therapy, pediatrics, orthopedics, spine, sports injuries, alternative therapies to include Strain/Counter-strain and ETPS (Electro-acupuncture), balance, and fitness programming for athletes and the aging.  She is also highly trained in Healthcare Management including Managed Care Contracting and Medicare issues.  She performs all of her duties in life according to the Lord’s will and desire.  Her love for life and helping others is shared through encouragement to her patients, staff and all she comes in contact with.  To contact Dr. Shepherd,please call 321-453-8484 or email her at tshepherd@aquatichealthandrehab.com.

Robert Martin, CPT


Rob is our #1 personal trainer and in charge of our wellness and weight loss programs. He has been with Aquatic Health and Rehab from the beginning. If you have any questions what so ever, Rob is eager to answer your question or do his best to find it! 


Caroline Mahar, DPT, Clinical Manager


Dr. Caroline Mahar is clinic manager and physical therapist as well as certified clinical instructor at Aquatic Health and Rehab in the Merritt Island clinic. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2012, graduating with honors. She received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Stevenson University in Stevenson, MD in 2008. Caroline is originally from Baltimore, Maryland and has resided in Brevard County since 2012. Caroline has taken continuing education in Strain-Counterstrain, Microcurrent Point Stimulation, aquatics, Class IV laser therapy, Craniofacial techniques, and has had extensive manual therapy training from USA while attending PT school. Caroline is very passionate in her field and has experience with pediatric, geriatric, neurologic and orthopedic conditions. She enjoys manual therapy and treating patients with orthopaedic conditions but also has an interest in neurologic conditions. Caroline has had a lifetime passion for dance and was previously a dance instructor before attending school for physical therapy.  Caroline is happily married and enjoys spending her free time with her husband and traveling.  Certified in SI Joint Dysfunction

Job duties: managing Pool operations, maintenance of equipment, coordinate with contractors/ vendors as necessary, set up and breakdown for hosting CEU courses, Assisting with community talks at our Viera office, Sharing information on Nutrition and Healthy living with anybody that needs more information. What I like most about what I do? Knowing that Aquatic Health and Rehab makes a difference in our clients lives with excellent staff and extraordinary techniques and a variety of effective  alternative modalities. Knowing that what I do supports life changing Physical Therapy for thousands of clients since 2002.

Dr. Kayla Cook

Dr. Kayla Cook is a physical therapist who received her doctorate from The University of St Augustine for Health Sciences and her undergraduate in Kinesiology from California State University, Sacramento. As a former athlete and coach, Kayla has a love for mechanics and getting to the root of a problem. She likes to address mechanics with manual therapy in conjunction with strengthening in order to help her patients achieve their goals. She enjoys working with young athletes, cervical, and sacro-iliac dysfunctions. In her free time she loves to travel and has a goal of going to every MLB ballpark. 

James Reid, Billing Specialist, CPO


​James joined the Aquatic Health and Rehab team in December 2014. He is our Medical Insurance Billing Specialist.  He is also trained in CPR and is one of the Certified Pool Operators.

Roberta "Ro" Olsson, M.S. CCC-SLP

Ro Olsson is a national and state certified Speech-Language Pathologist who has practiced in Brevard County, Florida for 28 years. 
She received a Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s of Science from Radford University, in Radford, Virginia.
Upon graduation, Ro accepted a position as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Sea Pines Rehabilitation Hospital, an inpatientt/outpatient intense rehabilitation hospital , in Melbourne, Fl.  During her 21 years at this facility, she was a very active member of the Traumatic Brain InjuryComa Recovery, Stroke/Neuro, Oncology, Dysphagia and Pain Management teams. She was promoted to Senior Speech-Language Pathologist, in/out patient departments and served as the Student Internship Coordinator, assisting Universities in placement of students in intern/extern positions. She also co-authored and assisted in developing The Neuro-Behavioral Rating Scale and The Initial Speech-Language-Cognitive Assessment.

In 2004, Ro accepted a position at Aquatic Health and Rehab, Merritt Island, Florida. She brings vast and comprehensive experience to this integrative team and stays atop of the most recent research, assessment and treatment techniques. She specializes in the assessment and treatment of cognitive and communicative deficits, dysphagia management and voice rehabilitation.  She is optimistic and  passionate about her chosen profession, is an integral part of this rehabilitative team and firmly believes that “There is always hope.”

Lisa Gladu, CPT, Scheduling (Viera)

​​Lisa Gladu-Molina comes to from over 30 years of healthcare background. She began her career as a
Certified Nurse Assistant in Orange County California for a couple of years before moving on to a new
adventure with Children’s Hospital in Orange, California where she had worked for 5 years as a
pharmacy Medication runner/technician. There she had help with the implementation of a new
barcode system in order to insure proper administration of all medications to patients. While spending
five years working, she also volunteered many hours with the various guilds involved with the hospital
for funding for Children in need on financial assistance for medical bills. She would spend her lunch
hours going to all the floors visiting sick children in a mascot suit as ”Choco the Bear “, she enjoyed
going to various functions working with the public relations department attending sportsman of the
year/silent auctions, parades with famous celebrities, and a number of functions involving the hospital.

In 1993, Lisa and her husband had moved to Elgin Illinois where she continued her career in the heath
field. She had worked as front desk and assisting the physician with the patients in performing certain
test needed. She then quickly advanced to medical billing and referral specialist for five years until she
started her family. After much needed maternity time off, she then revisited a few years in working part
time as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Jewel stores in the Savon portion, which is the
pharmaceutical side of the store. Lisa enjoyed her time there where she came to know much of her
community and familiar faces to whom she knew by name on a regular basis.

In 2009, Lisa came to us here with Aquatic Health and Rehab starting with the front desk greeting
friendly faces and scheduling as needed. After one year she picked up the pace and worked in our
Cocoa Beach office then, to eventually move to where you will find her now in our Viera office as she
wears many hats helping the therapist, attending the front desk, setting up community talks, and
attending to the needs of our clients and community. She will be celebrating her 10 th year with us in
June 2019.

Tandy Bowyer, CPT


Tandy became passionate about helping others after a major health issue. She reversed Type 2
Diabetes with exercise and diet, and a multitude of other lifestyle changes. She also believes if
she can do this, anyone can! The importance of exercise, mindfulness, nutrition, self-care,
proper rest, supportive circle of friends, all contribute to overall health and well-being.
Tandy has enjoyed a 15-year career in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer and Group
Fitness Instructor, Yoga Teacher and Pilates Instructor.

After a spinal cord injury in 2009, she decided to find a gentler approach to her fitness routine
and began taking yoga and Pilates classes. It was love at first asana and she became a
Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance and a Certified Pilates Instructor! To date,
nearly 700 hours of Teacher Training and has taught over 6000 hours of yoga and 12,000 hours
of fitness and Pilates combined.


Tandy's journey has led to down a path of Yoga Therapy, teaching gentle yoga & fitness classes
in Assisted Living Facilities, contracted with The Wounded Warrior Project, contracted to teach
Trauma Informed Yoga in the Behavioral Health Unit at Rockledge Regional Medical Center,
working with private clients, hosting and teaching workshops and sharing her passion of yoga,
health, fitness and well-being & self-care. Tandy loves sharing her passions and has been a
Certified SilverSneakers Instructor for 9 years. She loves helping her participants be stronger
and more confident in their daily activities. SilverSneakers is designed around the 50+ folks and
not only do we make friends, we are committed to our health goals, focusing on strength
building, agility, flexibility, and preventing falls. We also talk about nutrition and the importance
of hydration each class. We also close each class with mindfulness and breathing techniques
and gratitude.


Tandy loves teaching yoga and Pilates! Her favorite class "Goddess Boot Camp" helps
participants build strength, agility, flexibility, tone muscles, lose weight, helps with balance and
an overall sense of well-being. Her yoga experience ranges from teaching Beginners, to
Intermediate, Vinyasa, Viniyoga, Yin, Restorative, Nidra, Pranayama, Meditation, and Trauma
Informed Yoga, Mat Pilates and soon Pilates Reformer!
