Dr. Terry Shepherd has developed and trademarked her program.  She has developed a Continuing  Education Course and is now presenting it to other Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants. 

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

These courses will provide a review of hydrodynamics in dealing with the Spine and Extremeties.  The courses will present protocols utilized for successful outcomes for Aquatic Therapy dealing with multiple diagnoses.  The courses will emphasize the selection and performance of corrective exercises based on results from the evaluation.  Discussion will also include documentation appropriate for successful reimbursement with payors.

UPON COMPLETION OF THIS COURSE, THE PARTICIPANT WILL:

1.  Be able to describe impairments that respond to Aquatic Therapeutic Exercise.

2.  Be able to understand the properties of water relative to trunk, upper extremeties, and lower extremeties.

3.  Be able to demonstrate knowledge of Aqua Moves® program for spine and/or extremeties in order to develop appropriate treatment program according to diagnosis.

4.  Be able to understand and develop an Aquatic Therapeutic Exercise Program for a particular diagnosis.

5.  Be able to demonstrate ability to problem solve patient problems in Aquatic environment and make appropriate adjustments to treatment for progression of patient in a safe manner.

6.  Be able to document progress in Aquatic Therapeutic Exercise for maximum reimbursement.

For one day - $295.00

REFUND POLICY:
All cancellations must be in writing.  Refunds less a 20% administrative charge will be given until One week, prior to course.  Aquatic Health and Rehabilitation reserves the right to cancel any programs for due cause.  Cancellation of a program by Aquatic Health and Rehabilitation will result in a full refund of tuition.  Aquatic Health and Rehabilitation is not responsible for the refund of travel or hotel expenses under any circumstance.

 CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT:

 This course will be approved 17 CEU's for attending an entire course, attendees must sign in each morning and afternoon.  Program certificates will be provided; a $10. service fee is charged for replacements.
